The North Dufferin Baseball League has started the playoffs with eight teams from two divisions battling it out on the diamond. The Mansfield Cubs are done for the year after ending the season in the basement of the West Division.

Only the top four teams make it to the first round of action.

The Bolton A Brewers have already advanced sweeping Orillia in three games.

The Aurora Jays are currently leading the Barrie Red sox 2-0.

The Creemore Braves are leading the Lisle Astros two games to one in their series.

A sad note from the Ivy Leafs camp – Brian Moore, a team member who pitched six games this season died as a result of a automobile accident on Monday August 9.

As a result, the Ivy Leafs / New Lowell Knights series will be postponed until further notice.

Ivy currently leads that series by one game.
