Conley Memorial Ride-a-thon set for Sept. 11

The Jack Conley Memorial Ride-a-thon, Dinner and Black Light Art Show will take place in Mansfield on Saturday, Sept. 11.

Jack Conley passed away May 29, 1998 from cancer. In memory of Jack, his family is having a ridea thon on horseback, to raise money for the fight against cancer.

This year, Hill Billy Hack has joined forces with Kicx 106 & 104.1 the Dock and the proceeds will be going directly to a Radio for Radiology campaign.

Larche Communications Inc. has pledged $500,000 to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre being built in Barrie to buy an Interventional Radiology Machine that will help with cancer treatment. All money raised will go to

Radio for Radiology” and will be put into the direct account for purchasing this machine. There is currently only one of these machines running at RVH and it runs 24/7. Having another one will help cancer treatment incredibly.

Area residents are asked to come out and ride, donate, or volunteer to help make a difference. For more information call 705- 435- 2821.
