The Winners Walk of Hope for Ovarian Cancer will take place on Sunday, September 12 in 15 cities across Canada. The Toronto 5k walk will take place on the Toronto Island.

To date, the walk has raised more than $6.2 million to support women living with ovarian cancer and their families; raise awareness of the disease amongst the general public and health care professionals; and to fund research to find a reliable early detection test, improved treatments and ultimately, a cure.

The Walk has an impressive return on donation dollars because of its volunteer model. Individuals donate their time to organize and execute all of the walks on a small budget so as to maximize the donation to the cause.
