I am offended that Ruby Dhalla and Bob Rae introduced Bill C-428 into the House. It received first reading on June 18, 2009.

Bill C-428 would allow families to bring elderly relatives to Canada and receive a full Canada Pension after only three years of residency.

Thousands will come to Canada when they are 62 years old, never having worked or contributed to this country’s tax system and qualify for a full Pension. Nothing like winning the lottery! This is insulting to Canadian citizens/ taxpayers.

The attempt to sneak up on the unsuspecting populace and pass Bill C-428 is unacceptable. Write your MP that you do not support Bill C-428. There are too many people abusing the generosity of the Canadian people. We need to stop the insanity!
