Hiker critically injured in fall from park cliff

Last Thursday, shortly after 3 p.m., Orangeville Fire Department, Cambridge Ambulance and Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a 911 call in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park concerning a 34- year-old woman who fell off a 50-foot cliff while she was was off-trail hiking in the park.

Firefighters and paramedics transported the woman from the scene to an awaiting air ambulance at the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park parking lot. She was air-lifted to Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto where she remains in critical condition.

A police investigation is continuing.
